Ketika pengguna klik kepada Subject Header untuk membaca e-mel yang diterima, aplikasi Outlook memberi respon amat perlahan sehingga keluar paparan Not Responding pada title bar.

Cuba check pada Use Cached Exchange Mode untuk mengatasinya.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8: MS Outlook Disconnected

Windows Vista: "The requested operation requires elevation error" Dalam Command Prompt

This error is encountered in Windows Vista when attempting to run a command such as ipconfig /release or ipconfig /renew in the Windows command window that requires administrative rights to the operating system and is being blocked by Windows UAC.

To resolve this issue run the Windows Command as the administrator by following the steps below.

1. Click Start
2. In the Search bar type cmd, which should locate the cmd shortcut, right-click this shortcut and click Run as administrator or press the shortcut key Ctrl + Shift + Enter to start as administrator. If done properly you should see a User Account Control window, like that shown below. Click Yes to open the Windows command line as administrator.

Windows 7: "Failed to start system event notification service"

Login to windows as Administrator

a. Click on Start and in the search bar type “cmd.exe” (without quotes).

b. Right click on cmd.exe and click on Run as Administrator.

c. In the command prompt type the following commands and press Enter

 

Netsh winsock reset

 Exit Command Prompt and restart the computer

Driver HP LaserJet 1010 untuk Windows 7 32-bit

Printer should be offline and Automatic Updates disabled. Othervise Windows will automatically download drivers from the updates.

1. Download the XP driver for HP Laserjet 1010. ( http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=306507&p... ).

2. Go to Devices and Printers and click the Add Printer button.

3. Click Add a Local Printer.

4. Check Use an Existing Port: LPT1.

5. Select Have Disk and Browse to the location where you have downloaded the XP driver. Select HP1010U.inf file.

6. It will give you an error. It is because the local Printer spooler service has stopped. Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services and in the list find Printer Spooler service and with the right click select start. Now go back to the window for installing the printer and click next. It will give you an error that a printer with the same name already exists. Click cancel, go to Devices and printers and refresh the page. You should find the printer with the name you gave. Now right click the Icon, select printer properties and in ports select Dot4.

7. Turn on the printer. Windows should now find the driver for it.

8. When installing the printer on the network you will get the error like in step 6. Just restart Printer spooling service on the local machine and it will work.

Masalah 'Ink Absorber Full' Canon PIXMA MG2270

Reset printer  harus dalam keadaan SERVICE MODE. Caranya baca langkah berikut.


Matikan printer  dengan menekan tombol POWERnya. Jangan cabut kabel power
Tekan dan Tahan tombol STOP/RESET diikuti dengan menekan Tombol POWER. Jadi kedua tombol posisi tertekan.
Lepas tombol STOP/RESET tapi jangan lepas tombol POWER.Dalam keadaan tombol POWER masih tertekan, tekan tombol STOP/RESET sebanyak 5 kali.
Kemudian lepaskan kedua tombol bersamaan, maka printer akan berada dalam kondisi Service Mode.
Di komputer anda akan mendeteksi hardware baru. Abaikan saja .
Download service tool yang terbaru v.3400.

Siapkan kertas beberapa lembar di printer.
Jalankan service tool v.3400.
Di menu clear ink counter pilih MAIN BALCK kemudian set printer akan cetak 1 lembar.
Di menu ink absorber counter pilih MAIN COLOUR kemudian set.
Klik eeprom, printer akan cetak 1 lembar ( jika tidak bisa abaikan saja lngsung ke lankah 6 ).
Pilih auto kemudian start print cetak halaman test print tunggu sampai semua menu selesai.
Matikan Printer Anda lalu hidup kan Kembali dan Printer anda Sudah siap digunakan.

The first time that Word is started after a crash, the "Document Recovery" task pane will appear on the left side of the screen.

If you do not want these files shown in the document recovery task pane, click Start, in the Search box, type regedit and press Enter to open registry editor.

Locate the registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\Install\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Resiliency

There will be a key called "document recovery". Delete everything in this key. Once everything in this key is deleted, the problem will go away.

The usual suspects for this kind of problem are:

1. Corrupted Normal.dotm file. Try renaming or deleting this file--Word will create a new one automatically.

2. Corrupted Data key in the registry. Try deleting the Data key. Word will create a new one automatically. In Word 2007, it's here in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data
If you're not comfortable editing the registry, try the Fix It solution shown here:

Note that the article describes a different problem, but the solution provided by the Fix It button--deleting the Data key--is the same.

One or both of 1 & 2 usually fix this kind of problem. If is still occurs, a third possible culprit is:
3. Misbehaving add-in. Disable all add-ins. Close Word, then restart Word, and see if the problem recurs. If it doesn't, then re-enable add-ins one at a time to see if the problem still occurs.

Update Mozilla Firefox

1. Go to start menu.

Langkah untuk mengatasinya:

Masuk Service Mode:

• Matikan printer dengan power cord dan kabel USB masih terpasang.
• Tekan butang  Stop/Reset dan tahan.
• Tekan butang Power (jangan lepaskan butang Stop/Reset).
• Lepaskan butang Stop/Reset;
• Dalam keadaan butang Power masih tertekan, tekan butang Stop/Reset sebanyak 6 kali.Abaikan sebarang Windows pop-up yang terpapar.

Reset Software 
Muat turun perisian MP287 Service Tool  dan laksanakan langkah seperti gambarajah berikut:

Kemudian matikan printer dan uji.
Selesai.

Hapus Virus Autorun.inf

1. Buka DOS Command .
2. Pilih drive (eg. D:\ o F:\) 
3. Taipkan (eg: d:\> attrib -r -a -s -h autorun.inf ) di mana d:\ adalah merujuk kepada drive.
4. Kemudian, taipkan (eg: d:\> del autorun.inf). 

Jika menggunakan thumbdrive, sila unplug dan plug semula.

Internet Explorer: "the requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context"

 

Mesej ini dipaparkan apabila pengguna menaip alamat URL ketika melayari Internet menggunakan browser Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) dalam persekitaran Windows XP SP2.

Masalah ini berlaku selepas instalasi/upgrade ke IE7. Untuk mengatasinya, sila cuba langkah berikut:

1. Klik Start > Run
2. Taipkan %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe untuk uninstall IE7
3. Klik OK
4. Restart PC

 

Windows XP SP3: "This copy of Windows must be activated before you can log on"

Sekira tempoh activation (30 hari) telah tamat tanpa sebarang tindakan daripada pengguna, maka mesej seperti di atas secara automatik akan dipaparkan. Bagi menyelesaikan masalah tersebut dalam persekitaran Windows XP SP3, sila ikuti langkah berikut:

1. Restart PC dan tekan F8 / F5 untuk ke Safe Mode (without networking).
2. Klik Start > Run dan taipkan rundll32.exe syssetup,SetupOobeBnk
3. Kemudian klik OK.
4. Restart PC 

Pengguna akan diberi tempoh 30 hari untuk activation.

Gagal Edit Fail 'host'

Sekiranya menghadapi masalah menyunting (mengedit) fail host dalam Windows XP seperti yang dipaparkan dalam gambarajah di atas (Cannot create the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file. Make sure that the path and filename are correct.), antara kaedah penyelesaiannya ialah:

Matikan (off / deactivate) program Antivirus yang sedang running atau copy dahulu fail host tersebut ke desktop, kemudian laksanakan suntingan/edit. Setelah selesai, copy semula fail host yang telah disunting ke lokasi (folder) asal serta replace fail berkenaan.

Removing a Dual Boot in Windows

Removing a dual boot can be dangerous and it does not guarantee that windows will forget about the 2nd boot sector. This is your first step in removing the boot option screen and second OS installation.

1. Right click on My Computer and select properties
2. Move to the Advanced tab
3. Under Startup and Recovery select Settings
4. If you wish to leave the OS on the machine, but not see the option screen you can simply set the ‘time to display list of operating systems:’ to 0 as winXP should now be your default OS.
5. Otherwise, if the removal of the OS is your goal, then click edit.
6. First save a copy of the notepad file which opens ‘boot.ini’ just in case you make a mistake.
You will see lines such as the following:

[boot loader] timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
There will also be a line for the other OS here under [operating systems] something like ‘multi(1)disk(0)partition(#)…’

7. Check that your default line points to XP, as it does above. Then erase the line with the other OS, in this case DOS 7.1 (for example ‘multi(1)’). Please note that the entire line of code to be removed may be more than one line in notepad. Save the file.
8. Reboot
9. If everything looks correct, you can delete the folder associated with the OS that you wish to delete.
If any mistakes occur, load back into your existing OS, copy the old boot.ini over the modified one, and try again.
