Situasi di mana PC always restarting dalam normal mode. Namun begitu, ianya tidak berlaku dalam safe mode. Antara kaedah yang telah dicuba ialah:

1. Log masuk ke Windows dalam safe mode sebagai Administrator.
2. Turn off system restore dalam System Properties.
3. Tidak mengaktifkan Automatically restart sekiranya system failure dalam System Properties/Advanced/Setting (Startup  and Recovery).
4. Periksa services dan startup dalam menggunakan arahan msconfig.
5. Kemudian, restart PC.

Jika masih tidak berjaya:

1. Lakukan boot PC from CD drive untuk proses repair Windows.
2. Jika paparan skrin biru terjadi, lakukan hard PC restart.
3. Kemudian login Windows dalam normal mode sebagai Administrator.
4. Uninstall mana-mana perisian yang suspicious yang menjadi punca masalah seperti Kaspersky Internet Security.

Cara Reset Pencetak EPSON Stylus C67

Berikut adalah mesej yang dipaparkan ketika mencetak menggunakan Epson Stylus C67:

Poses reset boleh dilakukan dengan menggunakan perisian  SSC Service Utility versi terkini (telah dicuba versi 4.30).

Windows ME: Proses Instalasi Terhenti Semasa Paparan "copying files needed for windows setup"

Tidak Boleh Akses Internet Menggunakan Internet Explorer

Pernahkah anda mengalami masalah kegagalan akses ke laman web menggunakan IE tetapi sebaliknya apabila menggunakan Mozilla Firefox (dalam normal mode). Namun begitu, IE berfungsi dengan baik dalam safe mode.

Bunyi 'Alert' Disebabkan Casing Komputer Telah Dibuka

Sekiranya bunyi alert terjadi selepas casing sesebuah komputer itu pernah/telah dibuka, maka pengguna boleh mematikan alert tersebut dengan melakukan sedikit setting dalam BIOS. Misalnya bagi komputer HP, setting dalam BIOS tersebut dikenali sebagai Reset Case Open Status.

Windows XP: Downgrade ke Windows 98

Apa yang perlu dilakukan ialah format hard drive menggunakan FAT file system kerana Windows 98 tidak boleh dinstalasi menggunakan NTFS file system yang biasanya digunakan dalam Windows XP.

Proses format boleh dilakukan dengan menggunakan Windows XP Bootable Disk dan pilih untuk membuat Clean Install dengan mengikut arahan yang diberikan (dalam paparan). Selepas selesai proses format, laksanakan instalasi Windows 98. Harus diingatkan bahawa pengguna akan menghadapi sedikit masalah berkaitan driver dan perisian yang sesuai dalam persekitaran Windows 98.

Amalan downgrade Windows XP ke Windows 98 adalah tidak digalakkan atas isu berkaitan kestabilan Sistem Pengoperasian dan sekuriti.

Windows XP SP2: Hilangkan Notifikasi Windows Genuine

Kaedah ini hanyalah panduan sekiranya berlaku kesilapan penggunaan media/CD, versi Windows dan sebagainya lalu menyebabkan proses Activation perlu dilakukan oleh pengguna.

Windows XP: Papan Kekunci (Keyboard) Tidak Berfungsi Dalam Safe/Normal Mode

Jika berlaku masalah sedemikian dan beberapa pemeriksaan telah dilakukan seperti sambungan fizikal keyboard, menukar port atau papan kekunci yang berlainan, memeriksa setting dalam BIOS, melakukan proses restart dan lain-lain yang dirasakan perlu tetapi masih tiada penyelesaian, cuba lakukan pemeriksaan dalam Control Panel > Accessibility Options. Pastikan tiada sebarang check dalam Keyboard Tab.

Windows Vista: Masalah Network Connection

Situasi masalah yang berlaku ialah:

• PC menerima IP (DHCP)
• Tidak boleh 'PING' ke gateway dan DNS.

Antara langkah yang boleh dicuba untuk mengatasinya ialah:

1. Perhatikan Physical Address dalam konfigurasi IP (ipconfig). Jika address yang dipaparkan ialah 00:00:00:00:00:00, sila ubah address tersebut.
2. Address tersebut boleh diubah melalui Device Manager > Network Adapters > Properties > Advance > Network Address.
3. Masuk apa-apa MAC Address seperti 0008c71b8c02.
4. Laksanakan pengujian.

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers:

To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:


1.       Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then click regedit in the Programs list.
2.       If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
3.       Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
4.       HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}
5.      In this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
6.       On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
7.       In the New Value #1 box, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, and then press ENTER.
8.       Right-click DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, and then click Modify.
9.       In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
10.   Close Registry Editor.

By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista will first try to obtain an IP address by using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, it will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.

Masalah di sini ialah berkaitan dengan penggunaan projektor LCD Panasonic di mana connectivity antara komputer riba dengan projektor melalui wireless. Perisian yang digunakan ialah Wireless Manager yang boleh dimuat turun dari laman web Panasonic.

Dari aspek connectability antara komputer riba dengan projektor tiada masalah. Paparan pada skrin komputer boleh dipaparkan melalui projektor. Namun, apabila button Live diaktifkan, paparan pada projektor hilang.

Salah satu faktor yang boleh diperiksa ialah Firewall pada operating system dan Antivirus (Kaspersky).

Kaedah yang boleh digunakan untuk mengatasinya ialah dengan melakukan proses reset pada setting IE. Kemudian unchecked pada "Warn about certificate address mismatch*". Masukkan laman web COTDS dalam trusted sites.

Windows XP: 2nd SATA Hard Drive Tidak Dipaparkan Dalam My computer

Right-Click on the My Computer icon either on your desktop or in the Start Menu and select Manage.

A new window titled Computer Management comes up.
Select Storage from the left hand side by clicking it once, then select Disk Management(local) from the right side by double-clicking it. Find your new drive and format it with one large partition.

First you partition - do a primary partition if you want only one partition on the hard drive. Then you format the partition - again right click and select format use NTSF - use default allocation size and give the new volume a label (no spaces allowed in the name).

Situasi di mana mouse sentiasa berkelip-kelip dalam Windows 7 tetapi hanya berlaku dalam profail pengguna (user). Dalam profail administrator, mouse pointer adalah normal.

Penyelesaian:
1. Kenal pasti proses yang ganjil sedang beroperasi dalam Task Manager.
2. Cari fail tersebut atau boleh menggunakan perisian FixAuto.
3. Delete fail tersebut.

Dalam kes di atas, fail yang telah dikenal pasti ialah csrcs.exe.

Mula-mua, reset secara manual:

• Unplug the power cord while simultaneously pressing the power button
• After the power cord unplugged fixed in position before pressing the power button
• Then, plug the power cord back into the printer (fixed position of pressing the power button the printer)
• Then the power light is green living, then press the resume button is colored orange (alternately press the power button and press the resume button)
• After pressing the resume button and then release
• Press the power button again
• Then release the button power.

Konfigurasi Routing Dalam Windows XP Bagi NIC Tambahan

Berikut adalah kaedah untuk menetapkan routing bagi salah satu NIC. Contoh situasi yang telah dilakukan ialah NIC 1 menggunakan talian Streamyx manakala NIC 2 menggunakan talian MOH*Net. Semua NIC disetkan untuk menerima IP secara automatik (IP obtain from DHCP).  

Gateway bagi setiap ISP NIC adalah berbeza. Di sini, NIC 2 akan disetkan untuk mengakses beberapa web aplikasi kerajaan sahaja seperti aplikasi HRMIS. Command yang digunakan ialah route.

Berikut adalah antara tips yang pernah dicuba (highlight) bagi mengatasi masalah slow printing:

"There are many other factors that can affect how quickly a print job is printed or cause it to hang in the print queue. The factors listed below can all have a direct affect on how quickly jobs print.

• The specific printer being used.
• Amount of installed memory in the printer. Note that PDF and other Adobe files can have larger file sizes that require more printer memory that basic files such as text documents.
• Printer driver being used, including version and type (PS, PCL, etc.). Note that generally, Adobe files will print faster if a PS driver is used instead of a PCL 5 or PCL 6 driver (if available). Not all printers have a PS driver available as an installable driver.
• Number of print jobs in the print que.
• Operating system on the PC the print job was sent from.
• Available resources on the PC or server the print job was sent from such as amount of installed memory.
• Host based printers spool print jobs on the PC and not the printer, this can have an effect on print speed.
• Connection type between the printer and PC or server, (USB, Parallel, Network, etc.)
• Complexity of the print job (file size, number of images, etc.)
• The printer has an installed hard disk (if available)"

Windows driver types

Three Windows printer drivers are available: PCL 5e, PCL 6 and HP postscript level 3 emulation. Choose a printer driver based on the way you use the printer.

• Use the PCL 5e printer driver for faster printer performance and a quick first page out with 600 dpi print quality.
• Use the PCL 6 printer driver for enhances print quality. The PCL 6 driver allows you to take advantage of HP's proprietary ProRes 1200 and FastRes 1200 technologies. Printer performance and first page out may be slower with this driver.
• Use the HP postscript level 3 emulation printer driver for HP postscript level 3 emulation. Certain printer features are not available in this printer driver.

Microsoft Windows98 TCP/IP Configuration Guide

In order to configure the TCP/IP Stack for Windows98 you need:

• Your Assigned CIDR network number.
• The IP address of your DNS Name Resolvers.

Double-click My Computer | Control Panel | Network icon.

This opens the Network window.

Note: The Dial-Up Adapter may cause problems with the Ethernet TCP/IP adapter. If the Dial-Up Adapter component is installed in the Network Control Panel, highlight the Dial-Up Adapter entry and click on the Remove button. This will remove the Dial-Up Adapter from the system.
If TCP/IP for your Ethernet card is not installed, you may have to add it. (We are assuming that the driver for your Ethernet card is already installed.)
Click on the Add button in the Network window. This will bring up the Select Network Component Type window.

Select Protocol and click on the Add button. This will bring up the Select Network Protocol window.

Select Microsoft in the Manufacturers box.

Select TCP/IP in the Network Protocols box. Click on OK to reboot the server PC.
Once the proper Ethernet adapter and the TCP/IP protocol are installed, you must configure the TCP/IP information:
From the Start menu, select Settings | Control Panel | Network.
Select the TCP/IP protocol in 'The following network components are installed' box.

Click on the Properties button.
In the TCP/IP Properties window select the IP Address tab.

Choose Specify an IP address.
In the IP Address box enter your assigned CIDR network number (a.b.c.x) where x is an UNUSED host IP address. (Keep in mind that the router has already been assigned the .1 host IP address.)
For example: 38.254.100.2
Enter 255.255.255.0 in the Subnet Mask box for an unsubnetted Class C network.
Select the Gateway tab.

Enter the IP address of your router in the New gateway box. (a.b.c.1). Then click on the Add button.
For example: 38.254.100.1
After you add the new gateway, it should appear in the Installed gateways box.

Select the DNS Configuration tab.

Choose Enable DNS.
Enter the host name of the machine in the Host box. (This should be a unique name chosen by you to refer to this machine.)
Enter your InterNIC registered domain name in the Domain box.
Add the IP addresses of the DNS Name Resolvers.
Enter the first resolver IP address in the top DNS Server Search Order box (see below) and click on the Add button.
This will add the IP address of the resolver in the lower DNS Server Search Order box (see below). Add the second resolver IP address in the same manner as the first. Leave the domain suffix search order blank.

Click on the WINS Configuration tab.
Make sure that the Disable WINS Resolution is chosen.

The defaults in the advanced settings will suffice.

Select the Bindings tab.
If TCP/IP is the only protocol, then this box should be empty.

Make sure that you select OK. This will return you to the Network window.

Select OK again. You will be prompted to restart now. Answer Yes.
The TCP/IP stack should be available after the reboot.
